Capitols name new General Manager
Bruce Bailey, owner of the Lincoln Capitols National Indoor Football Team is pleased to announce the appointment of Terri Nielsen as the new General Manager of the Lincoln Capitols effective Wednesday, May 8, 2002. Ms. Nielsen replaces Margie Smith who left the organization last month.
Nielsen, earned a Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication Degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and brings with her a wealth of experience in Indoor Football. She then served as Director of Team Services for the Indoor Football League and League Development for arenafootball2 until returning to Lincoln just a few months ago. In addition to her indoor football experience, Nielsen was Manager of Advertising and Marketing for Nebraska Book Company from 1993 to 1998, which of course included two Nebraska football National Championships.
The new GM considers Lincoln her home and according to Terri, Im thrilled to be back in Lincoln and doing what I love to do in my home town. I look forward to re-developing relationships with the community and building a strong team foundation in the off season. Owner, Bruce Bailey added; Terris experience and leadership qualities are second to none, but more importantly, shes committed to our team and our city.
