
Capitals Walk Off On Toros In 11th Inning

Edmonton, Canada-The Tucson Toros lost to the Edmonton Capitals 5-4 Saturday after the Capitals walked off in the bottom of the 11th inning. Tucson scored a pair of runs in each the first two innings but were held scoreless for the next nine frames, snapping their four game winning streak.
Tucson Starting Pitcher Cibney Bello posted a quality start despite a bit of wildness to earn a no decision. The right allowed just three runs on five hits and six walks walk striking out five to remain undefeated on the season.
Tucson spread out the hits in the contest. Eight different Toros had a hit in the game. Designated Hitter Jim Rushford was the lone Toro with a multi-hit night, going 2-for-4 to raise his batting average to .362. Second Baseman Skip Adams set the table atop the order with a hit and two of the team's runs scored.
The Toros and Capitals will wrap up their three game series Sunday with a day game. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tucson time.
