Capelli Sport, Harrisburg City Islanders Announce Uniform

Harrisburg, PA - 2017 continues to be a special year for the Capelli Sport brand.

An official agreement has been reached that will see the innovative sportswear and team-wear brand become the exclusive uniform supplier of the Harrisburg City Islanders of the United Soccer League (USL). By the terms of the agreement, every member of the first-team, and the club's youth development academy, will be outfitted in Capelli Sport gear for the start of the 2017 season.

"Having an owner who owns one of the fastest growing soccer supply companies in the U.S. adds great value to our club on the professional side and the youth side," stated Eric Pettis. "George's product is of great quality and our players could not feel more proud sporting their Capelli Sport gear. We are fortunate to have this connection."

Entering its 14th season in the USL, the Harrisburg City Islanders will compete with Division II status in 2017. Throughout its history, the club has earned three USL finals appearances in 2007, 2011 and 2014, taking the championship in 2007.

"This agreement marks what has already been a historic year for Capelli Sport," Altirs said of the deal with the Harrisburg City Islanders. "Our design, functionality and support continue to grow on both the domestic and international levels. We look forward to bringing our standards to Harrisburg and assisting with the on-field production of the team."

Capelli Sport was founded in 2011, by President George Altirs, with the mission to provide quality, functionality and design for high-level performance on the field. More than 25 years in the apparel, fashion and accessory business with parent company GMA Accessories, led to the creation of Capelli Sport and many global recreational, club, semi-professional and professional sports partnerships through the brand's innovative, world-class training gear, equipment and uniforms.

The agreement marks the second announcement in 2017 featuring a USL team and Capelli Sport. As per a deal announced January 2017, Capelli Sport has been named the exclusive uniform supplier and stadium naming rights partner of the Rochester Rhinos for the 2017 season.
