Canton's Manny Harris Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK, Jan. 30, 2012 - Manny Harris of the Canton Charge was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Jan. 23-29.

Harris, a 6-5, 185-pound guard out of Michigan, averaged 25.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 34.0 minutes, while shooting 52 percent from the floor last week. He scored a season-high 32 points in a 93-104 loss against the Springfield Armor on Jan. 24, and recorded his first double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds in a 124-108 road win over the Bakersfield Jam on Jan. 27. Harris and the Charge went 2-1 during the week.

For the season Harris, who spent 54 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2010-11 season, is averaging 19.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in 10 games for the Charge.

Other top performers considered included Maine's Morris Almond, who averaged 23.5 points and 8.0 assists in two games; Los Angeles' Mardy Collins, who averaged 19.5 points and 7.0 assists in two games; Austin's Justin Dentmon, who averaged 28.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in one game; Tulsa's Jerome Dyson, who averaged 19.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in two games; Iowa's Moses Ehambe, who averaged 19.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in two games; Bakersfield's Osiris Eldridge, who averaged 25.0 points and 4.5 assists in two games; Reno's Andre Emmett, who averaged 24.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in two games; Dakota's Stefhon Hannah, who averaged 31.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in one game; Springfield's Dennis Horner, who averaged 16.0 points and 6.7 rebounds in three games; Erie's D.J. Kennedy, who averaged 16.0 points and 14.5 rebounds in two games; Sioux Falls' Casey Mitchell, who averaged 19.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in two games; Rio Grande Valley's Greg Smith, who averaged 16.3 points and 11.7 rebounds in three games; Idaho's Terrico White, who averaged 20.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in two games; and Texas' Booker Woodfox, who averaged 23.5 points and 18.5 rebounds in two games.
