BOSTON, MA (March 26, 2014) - The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced their 2014 training camp schedule, beginning with the first session on Saturday, April 5th with practice at their home field at Harvard Stadium. Training camp includes three weekends prior to the season opener at home on April 27 th . At the conclusion of the three weekends, the Cannons will cut the roster from 40 players to 25 active and six practice squad players.

"This is always an exciting time of year as we officially kick off the season with the first training camp practice," said Cannons General Manager Kevin Barney. "We are excited to be bringing the team to Schenectady, NY for a weekend that includes a scrimmage against Rochester. We have a strong following from the lacrosse community in that area so this was a great opportunity to bring the team to them, while also getting in a competitive scrimmage."

"It's a clean slate for everyone starting April 5th," said Cannons Head Coach John Tucker. "We've made some moves in the off-season and are bringing in several new players to training camp, so I am looking forward to a competitive training camp to see who makes our roster." Tucker added, "We are going to put together a roster of team players who understand what it takes on and off the field to win."
