Boston Cannons News Release
BOSTON, Mass. - The Boston Cannons of the Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, will be hosting their first annual Coaches Symposium at Endicott College on April 3rd.
"We're excited to announce this new program that will create a unique and intimate educational opportunity for lacrosse coaches throughout New England," said Cannons President Ian Frenette. "Our symposium will provide unheralded access to the Cannons coaching staff, players and medical staff in both classroom and field settings during our Training Camp Weekend."
Open to all levels of coaching, this unique event is limited to 200 coaches. The event will foster the opportunity to network and learn from all Cannons coaches, players, and lacrosse professionals. The event will allow coaches special and exclusive insight to enhance their coaching knowledge and game among New England coaches and the Boston Cannons team.
"The Cannons are committed to giving back to the lacrosse community," said Cannons Head Coach Sean Quirk. "As our sport continues to grow, education and empowering coaches is vital to the continued growth. My coaching staff and players have a vast knowledge of not only playing the game, but are also college, high school and club team coaches themselves."
Keynote speakers include: Boston Cannons Head Coach, Sean Quirk, Team Doctor, Dr. Thomas Gill, and the Official Athletic Training Facility of the Boston Cannons, Stadium Performance.
Coaches will choose from a variety of seminars in the classroom and on the playing field to attend. Throughout the day there will be different skill topics and experience based curriculums to fit the novice coach to the seasoned veteran of the sidelines.

On field lectures will include fundamentals, practice, and game plans, riding, transition & clearing, man up clearing and man down defense, goalie and face off techniques.
Capping off the day, a reception hosted at Endicott will take place where coaches can mingle with Cannons coaches and players. Each coach in attendance will receive a gift bag at the check-in that includes a Cannons polo and sideline hat.
