Cannons to Host 1st Annual Charity Golf Classic

BOSTON, MA (September 15, 2015) - The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse announced an extension of the team's partnership with Boston Children's Hospital by hosting the 1st annual Boston Cannons Charity Classic golf tournament at Granite Links golf club in Quincy, MA on October 26th, 2015. The tournament will raise money to benefit the nations #1 ranked pediatrics hospital.
"We are excited to announce our first ever charity golf tournament," said Cannons VP & General Manager Kevin Barney. "We wanted to create an event for our players, fans and sponsors in a different setting, while being able to support a great local organization like Children's Hospital. With help from our fans and partners, we hope to increase the size of our donation exponentially, and create an event that will help give back to charitable beneficiaries for years to come."
Participants will play Granite Links in a scramble format with four (4) members, which can include a 5th Cannons celebrity guest player if desired. A boxed lunch will be provided to all golfers prior to the 12 Noon shotgun start and a cocktail hour and dinner with raffle and auction will follow. A variety of sponsorship packages are available for corporate support, and registration for foursomes has now officially opened.
