Boston Cannons News Release

BROCKPORT, NY (June 7, 2015) The Cannons fell 13-6 to the Rattlers on Sunday afternoon at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium in Brockport, NY after a stellar performance from Jordan Wolf of Rochester. Wolf finished with five goals and two assists to lead Rochester in a game where Boston just could not climb back.

Four different players scored as the Rattlers jumped out to a 4-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Cannons had trouble finding the back of the net until Max Seibald scored four minutes in to the second quarter to end the scoreless drought. Will Manny added a tally a few minutes later to make it a 5-2 game and Rob Emery closed out the quarter adding one of his own for Boston.

The Cannons headed in to halftime trailing 7-3 and were never able to make a comeback. Boston was held scoreless in the third period where Rochester extended their lead to 10-3.

Will Manny scored his second of the night to start things for the Cannons in the fourth. Brent Adams tried to get the momentum going in the fourth as well, adding two goals, but it was just not enough to catch the Rattlers lead.

The Cannons, now 4-4, came in to the game riding a three game win streak, beginning with their thrilling overtime victory against Rochester back on May 17th. Today, however, Rochester held a 36-26 edge in ground balls and outshot the Cannons 27-21.

The MLL will take a break from action this weekend as it hosts the All-Star game in Houston, TX, where Boston is being represented by five players in Will Manny, Craig Bunker, Max Seibald, Mitch Belisle, and Scott Ratliff.

The Cannons then head to Florida on June 20th to take on the Launch before finally coming home to Gillette stadium on June 28th against the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
