
Cane Cutters Take Victory Over Brazos Valley Bombers, 4-1

The Acadiana Cane Cutters defeated the Brazos Valley Bombers, 4-1, last night in game one of the four game homestand at Fabacher Field.
The Cane Cutters began to put runs on the board in the second inning off of back to back doubles from Fisher Norris (USM) and Tremaine Spears (ULL).
Our Powerade player of the game, Will Ripoll, took the win for the Cane Cutters. He threw six innings, allowing only one walk, five hits, and one run while striking out seven. Kris Peet (DSU), Hunter Meche (LSUA), and Hunter Stafford (DSU) threw an inning each out of the bullpen, maintaining the lead and steering the team towards victory. Kris Peet recorded the final three outs to earn his first save on the season for the Cane Cutters.
Logan Teske took the loss for Brazos Valley Bombers. He surrendered three runs on nine hits over six innings, striking out six and walking one.
Cane Cutters tallied ten hits in the game. Spears (ULL), Artigues (SELU), and HYPERLINK "https://gc.com/p5cf761a008ee0102f1000003"Hannie (ULL) each managed two hits to lead the Cane Cutters.
Brazos Valley Bombers collected seven hits on the day. Kyle Bergeron and Sam McElreath all had multiple hits for Brazos Valley Bombers. Bergeron led Brazos Valley Bombers with three hits in four at bats.
