Cane Cutters Return Home on June 5; Registration Underway for Cane Cutters Baseball Camp

Acadiana Cane Cutters News Release
The Acadiana Cane Cutters, who opened their season last week, will be returning home on June 5, following a quick two-game series on the road against the Brazos Valley Bombers. The game on the 5th against the East Texas Pump Jacks, will be a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games as a result of the game at Fabacher Field getting rained out on June 1. The first game is scheduled for 6:00 PM. It will be a "Thirsty Thursday," with discounted beer prices being offered both games. Following the DH, fans are invited to meet the team at Buffalo Wild Wings on Ambassador Caffery.
June 6 will be a "Star Wars" themed night, with many members from the 501st Legion, the Star Wars worldwide costuming organization, in attendance. Fans are encouraged to dress up as there will be a Star Wars costume contest. Gates open at 6:00 PM and the game is scheduled for 7:00. PM. The Children's Museum of Acadiana will also be heavily involved with this game.
The next day, June 7, will be the Cane Cutters annual "Dog Day of Summer," as Acadiana begins a two game series against the Woodlands Strykers. The Cane Cutters have teamed up with Camp Bow in encouraging families to bring their canine to the games. There will be treats, water, and other goodies for the dogs. Dogs are required to have a "Pooch Pass" that night, with all Pooch Pass proceeds going to the Lafayette Animal Aid.
The home stand will wind up with a 7:00 game against the Strykers on Sunday, June 8.

The Cane Cutters will also be hosting their baseball camp on June 5 and 6, with head coach Lonny Landry and assistant coach Zach Butler providing instruction to youngsters 6-14. Registration is currently underway; call (337) 451-6582 for more information,
