
Cane Cutters Defeat Bombers 4-1 to Tie Series

The Cane Cutters tied their series against the Brazos Valley Bombers in Brazos Valley, Texas, with a 4-1 win in the second game of a seven-inning doubleheader.
The Cane Cutters were first on the board when Matthew Guidry tallied an RBI off a walk at bottom of the fourth. Kyle Mendenhall and Dane Giesler scored two more in the fourth on an error from Anthony Herrera to put the Cane Cutters up 3-0.
The Cane Cutters scored one more run before giving the Bombers a chance at a comeback.
Unlike the first game of the series, the Cane Cutters were able to hold onto their lead. The Bombers were able to post a single run in the seventh in their attempted comeback.
The Cane Cutters resume play tomorrow night against the Bombers in a brand new series. Acadiana will return to Fabacher field on Friday to face off against the Victoria Generals at 7 p.m.
