Canaries Unveil New Logos for 2014

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Canaries Baseball Club unveiled new alternate logos for the upcoming 2014 season today. The logos will be used in all marketing efforts, on player baseball hats and merchandise. The Canaries website will also be given an updated look with the logos in early May.
"We are excited to unveil our new logos today," said Canaries CEO/President Tom Garrity. "We wanted to give Cagey a little bit of a more intimidating and edgier look. Listening to the fans last season we felt it was time to create a new logo while still keeping the current one."
The new logos have two different looks with Cagey the Canary. The first logo is a horizontal logo with an updated font with Sioux Falls Canaries and a new look Cagey walking and holding a baseball bat over his right shoulder. The second is circular with Sioux Falls Canaries spelled out around Cagey who is holding a bat over his right shoulder.
The logo will be available on merchandise once the season begins and can be viewed by visiting the Canaries website www.sfcanaries.com. The logo will become the primary logo on the club's website in May prior to the regular season starting.
Players report for camp next Thursday, May 1st and the season opener is scheduled for Thursday, May 15th at Sioux Falls Stadium against Sioux City. Game time is 7:05 PM and tickets are available now through the Canaries Box Office. Season, perch packs, group and suite tickets are also on sale now by calling 336-6060.
