Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Canaries hit three homeruns on Wednesday and got a strong start from Nicholai Arbach to top Winnipeg 8-5 at the Birdcage.

The Goldeyes scored twice in the top of the eighth to climb within two. Hart ripped another RBI double in the bottom half to provide an insurance run.

Winnipeg loaded the bases in the top of the ninth but Charlie Hasty tossed a scoreless frame to earn his 71st career save, moving into second all-time in league history.

Hart finished with three hits while Combs, Achenbach and Josh Rehwaldt each added two. Arbach allowed three runs over six innings, spinning his second consecutive quality start. The Canaries (42-41) will look to clinch the series Thursday at 6:35pm.
