New Jersey 5, Rockland 4

The New Jersey Jackals used an impressive offensive performance from the back end of their lineup to take down the Rockland Boulders 5-4. SS Richard Arias, 3B Steve Nikorak and C Yaniel Cabezas each had three hits in the final third of the lineup and combined for a pair of runs and an RBI. New Jersey starter Gabriel Perez got the win for the Jackals after throwing 5.2 innings and allowing four runs. Salvador Sanchez struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to shut the door on Rockland and record the save.

Trois-Rivieres 8, Quebec 6

Despite being outhit 14-9 the Trois-Rivieres Aigles were able to hold off the Quebec Capitales and win 8-6. All but two of Trois-Rivieres' hitters got into the hit column tonight, with C Kyle Lafrenz pacing the team with a 2-3 game. In addition, RFCarlos Guzman made his presence known with his second home run of the season out of the cleanup spot. Aigles starterEdilson Alvarez grabbed the win after throwing six innings and giving up just three runs. He worked around nine hits and a walk while striking out two on 106 pitches.
