Rockland 6, Quebec 5 (10 Innings) - Box Score
For the second straight night, Rockland won in a walk-off over Quebec. This time 2B Ryne Birk singled home CF Chase Harris with the game winning run in the bottom of the 10th as the Boulders won, 6-5. The Capitales again had the lead going in the bottom of the ninth (5-3) only to see Rockland plate two runs in the ninth to tie it and then win it with a run in the 10th.
Harris led off the 10th inning at second base due to international tiebreaker rules. The next batter, SS Senoo Katsuya, sacrificed Harris over to third with one out. Birk then came to the plate and hit a single to center field to plate Harris and give the Boulders the win.
Birk had a three-hit night along with an RBI while LF Grant Heyman launched a home run and drove in five in a 2-for-4 game.
Rockland pitcher Robbie Gordon threw a scoreless inning of relief and picked-up the win for the second straight night. Gordon (5-1) gave up a walk in the four batters he faced.
Sussex County 6, Ottawa 1 - Box Score
Sussex County completed the three-game sweep of Ottawa as they downed the Champions by the score of 6-1. The Miners had a 1-0 lead through five innings of play before tallying five runs over their final four trips to the plate to win going away.
There were 10 hits collected by Sussex County with three batters collecting at least two of them. Miners SS Cito Culver led the way at the plate going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Sussex County 3B Nate Coronado scored two runs and drove in two in a 2-for-4 day while CF Mikey Reynolds had two hits in five at-bats along with a run.
Miners starting pitcher David Palladino tossed a complete game and picked-up the victory. The 26-year-old allowed unearned run on five hits and struck out seven batters. With the win, Palladino is now 3-1 on the season.
Trois-Rivieres 13, New Jersey 4 - Box Score
Trailing 4-3 after 4 ½ innings of play, Trois-Rivieres roared back scoring 10 runs over their final four trips to the dish and cruising past New Jersey, 13-4. With the win, the Aigles completed the three-game sweep of the Jackals and have now won four straight.
Trois-Rivieres pounded out 18 hits in the contest with four batters having multi-hit games. Aigles 1B Juan Kelly led the way going 4-for-6 with a home run, three runs scored and five RBIs. Trois-Rivieres DH Alberth Martinez had a blast of his own and three RBIs in a 3-for-5 outing while 3B/SS Tucker Nathans had a homer in three official at-bats along with scoring four times and collecting an RBI.
Aigles pitcher Tyler Ferguson threw four innings of relief and grabbed his third win of the season. Ferguson (3-4) gave up three earned runs on four hits and fanned three batters.
Center fielder David Harris had a 2-for-3 day with a home run and three RBIs in the loss for New Jersey.
