Trios- Rivieres 10, Shikoku Island 4
In this interleague matchup, Trios Rivieres benefitted from an offensive onslaught. The Aigles saw seven different players score, including three who reached home plate multiple times. Swinging the big bat for Trios Rivieres was 1B Daniel Mateo, who went 2-3 with a run scored and four RBI. Mateo swung for power, hitting a double and sending a three run shot into the stands in the bottom of the fourth inning. DH Jon Smith also had a good day at the plate, reaching three of his four at bats. Smith went 1-2 with two runs, two walks and a triple. Reliever Kaohi Downing was credited with the victory.
Shikoku Island had tied the game in the eighth inning, thanks to a single by C Kosei Kawahara that brought home Yusuke Matsuzawa. Trios- Rivieres responded with a huge six run bottom of the eighth to secure the victory.
Kansas City at New Jersey
The game between the T-Bones and Jackals was postponed due to rain. The two clubs will play a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. from Yogi Berra Stadium.
Ottawa at Quebec
The game between the Champions and Capitales was postponed due to rain. The two clubs will play a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 6:05 p.m at Quebec.
Sussex County at Rockland
The game between the Miners and Boulders was postponed due to rain. The two clubs will play a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Rockland.
