Mississippi Surge News Release

Mississippi Surge right wing Rob Campbell spent part of his evening Tuesday night celebrating National Night Out at the Naval Construction Batalliion Center in Gulfport.

Campbell met fans, signed autographs and posed for pictures while surrounded by the Coffey Trophy the Surge have won the past two years as regular season champs of the Southern Professional Hockey League, and the President's Cup as playoff champs this past season.

"It's always good to meet fans. So many of the kids love to see the big trophies," Campbell said. "And to be able to do this for the military families makes it more important. Winning the championship makes it a good summer."

Balfour Beatty Communities organized the event on the NCBC base. Thier employees were passing out bags of school supplies. Other community agencies joined the Surge in providing services and entertainment for the base families.

Season tickets for the 2011-12 Surge season are on sale now, with plans starting for less than $10 per game. For more information call the Surge at 228-287-PUCK (7825).
