Brevard Blue Ducks News Release

Melbourne, FL – It will be a busy weekend for the Brevard Blue Ducks as they play games on three consecutive nights at the Clemente Center at Florida Tech, in Melbourne.

Friday night the Ducks take on the Adirondack Wildcats and try to exact a measure of revenge from Wednesday's home loss, Brevard's first of the year.

Saturday night marks the return of Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins to Brevard as the Blue Ducks take on his first-place Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs.

The Blue Ducks will be hosting students from area schools for both Friday and Saturday nights' contests and are offering two-for-one tickets to all Brevard County students.

Both contests tip off at 7:00 PM.

Sunday's Mother's Day contest will be promoted as "Bring Your Mom Chocolate for Mother's Day." All moms will be given free admission to see Brevard take on Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins' Pennsylvania ValleyDawg team in the second of their back-to-back games.

Sunday's contest begins at 5:00 PM.

Tickets are available through the Blue Ducks website at www.BrevardBlueDucks.com, by calling 751-BLUE (2583) or at the Clemente Center box office, which opens an hour before game time.

DUCK NOTES: Former Florida Gator and 8-year NBA veteran Duane Schintzius was activated by the Ducks just prior to Wednesday's game and may see his first action of the season Friday night. He should provide an interesting match up against the ValleyDawg's own former NBA center, Olden Polynice, on Saturday and Sunday.

Another former center, 18-year NBA veteran Danny Schayes, who spent several seasons with the Orlando Magic, will be attending Friday night's game against Adirondack.
