Burke and Conley Added to Roster for USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game

Chicago, IL - The United States Hockey League and NHL Central Scouting today announced that Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward Cal Burke and Youngstown Phantoms forward Kevin Conley have been added to the roster for the 2015 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game on January 13th in Dubuque, Iowa.

The forwards will fill the roster spots on Team East of Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward Erik Foley and Green Bay Gamblers forward Brent Gates, Jr. who were both previously selected to compete but will be unable to participate in the event due to injury.

It is the third time the League will conduct the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, showcasing 40 of the USHL's top players eligible for the 2015 NHL Draft. The selection process for players was completed in cooperation with USHL general managers, NHL scouts and team personnel, and NHL Central Scouting.

Burke has appeared in all 32 games for the RoughRiders this season and has recorded 19 points (11g, 8a) along with a plus-10 rating. He is third on the team in goals, 10 of which have been scored at even strength. He netted his first USHL goal in just the second game of the season, a 4-3 win against Muskegon on October 3rd, 2014. Burke then went on to score four goals over the first five games of the season.

The 17-year-old from Boxborough, Massachusetts is product of Noble & Greenough Prep School. He is a "C" rated skater by NHL Central Scouting on their "Players to Watch List" for the 2015 NHL Draft. Burke is committed to play college hockey at the University of Notre Dame following his USHL career.

Conley has produced six points (4g, 2a) and compiled 43 penalty minutes through 28 games this season for the Youngstown Phantoms. He tallied his first goal in the USHL in just the second game of the season, and it proved to be game-winner in the 5-2 victory over Team USA on October 3rd, 2014. The Phantoms are 3-0-1 in games that he has scored a goal.

The 17-year-old is also a "C" rated skater by NHL Central Scouting on their "Players to Watch List". The Wisconsin native previously played for Wausau West High School prior to his time in the USHL. He is committed to play college hockey at the University of Denver following his USHL career.

The 2015 NHL Draft takes place in Sunrise, Florida on June 26-27, 2015 at the BB&T Center, home of the NHL's Florida Panthers.
