Billings Bulls News Release

The Billings Bulls have announced that for the 2004-2005 season, third-year veteran forward #15 Brian Kaufman will lead this years team as Captain.

"Brian has a great work ethic both on and off the ice and we are confident he'll do a great job leading all of our first year junior players," Head Coach Mike Aikens commented. A respectable, mature individual who takes pride in his team as a whole, Aikens added, "Brian is the epitome of what the Billings Bulls stand for."

A native of Shoreview, Minnesota, Kaufman led the Billings Bulls in scoring for the 2003-2004 regular season with 23 goals and 29 assists for a total 52 points in 54 games played.

Matt Palmer, a third-year defenseman for the Bulls wearing jersey #3 will serve as assistant captain along with first-year forward #2 Anthony Cosmano.

"Matt Palmer is a very mature young man who has a tremendous work ethic and cares deeply about the success of the entire organization," Aikens stated. "Matt is extremely conscientious of the minor details involved within our team, which he continuously takes into consideration—making him an excellent leader by example."

A former member of the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League (USHL), Aikens noted that he is "excited to see Anthony have the opportunity to share his vast experience with our young players. The fact that Anthony was selected as an assistant captain in his first year with the Bulls speaks volumes about his character."
