Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that goaltender Malcolm Subban of the Belleville Bulls is the OHL Player of the Week for the playoff week ending April 14 after posting back-to-back shutouts against the Sudbury Wolves in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.

Subban stopped all 55 shots he faced last week with a perfect goals-against-average of 0.00 and save percentage of 1.000 backstopping the Bulls to a berth in the Rogers Eastern Conference Championship Series following a four-game series win over the Wolves. He made 28 saves and earned first star honours in the 4-0 victory in Game 3 last Tuesday, then made 27 saves as second star of the 5-0 win in Game 4 on Thursday.

Subban, a 19-year-old from Rexdale, ON, is playing in his third full OHL season with the Bulls. Selected by the Boston Bruins in the first round of the 2012 NHL Draft, Subban currently has a playoff record of 8-2 with three shutouts along with a league-low goals-against-average of 1.31 and league-high save percentage of .951.
