Bucs Participate in Gumbo Cooking Contest

LAKE CHARLES LA. - Always on the ready to help out Southwest Louisiana, the Louisiana Swashbucklers answered the call to help judge the best gumbo in town. On Thursday, November 11th, the Bucs participated in a gumbo cooking contest at Global Industries.

The contest was divided into two categories: Seafood or non-seafood. After sampling the various entries the "We Dat" Team won the competition. Congratulations to them for their outstanding culinary talents.

The Swashbucklers will open the 2011 season on the road on March 19th against the Albany Panthers then return home to host the Alabama Hammers on March 26th. With new teams joining the Southern Indoor Football League the Bucs are facing new challenges but will be ready for them. Come join the action with the Swashbucklers!
