LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League are proud to announce that they have helped donate the official delivery van to the South Texas Food Bank.
The van that the Bucks helped donate picks up bread from eight HEB Stores in Laredo and delivers it to the food bank every day to be distributed to those in need.
"We want to sincerely thank Glenn Hart, Coach Ruskowski and the Laredo Bucks organization for all that they continue to do for us each and every day," said Salo Otero, Director of Development for the South Texas Food Bank. "The Bucks have been one of our biggest supporters."
Since April of 2008 the Bucks, along with Laredo Energy, have donated over $25,000 to the South Texas Food Bank during their annual "Pack the House for Charity" Playoff game at Laredo Energy Arena.
"This is a very proud day for the Bucks organization as we unveil the delivery van," said Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "We have always been closely associated with the South Texas Food Bank and we thank them for all that they do in our community."
