Bucks' Equipment Manager Heads to AHL

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League are proud to announce that equipment manager Matt Brayfield has been named assistant equipment manager for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. The Crunch are the AHL affiliate of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks.

The 25-year-old Brayfield spent the last two seasons with the Bucks and was the head equipment manager for the South Texas All-Stars at the 2010 CHL All Star game in Laredo.

"This is a great career move for Matt and we couldn't be happier for him," said Bucks President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. "It's been a goal of his to move up the ladder in this business and this is the next step for him. We wish him all the best in the future."

Brayfield worked the Dallas Stars training camp prior to the start of the 2008-09 campaign.

Prior to his time in Laredo Brayfield, a native of Sherman, Illinois, spent the 2007-08 season with the SPHL's Huntsville Havoc. During the 2006-07 season Brayfield worked for the NAHL's Springfield Jr. Blues. Brayfield began his career from 2004-2006 as an assistant for the AHL's Peoria Rivermen.

The Bucks will start their ninth CHL season on October 15th with their home opener October 23rd against Rio Grande Valley at Laredo Energy Arena. Season tickets are on sale now for the 2010-11 season. Call 718-BUCK (2825) to place our order now.
