Bucks Community Update and Weekly Schedule

Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League were once again out in the community last week.Here is a list of where Bucks coaches, players, front office staff, and Bucky were last week, and where they are going this week. Look for the weekly Bucks community update on www.laredobucks.com.
The highlight of this coming week will be on Sunday (August 3rd). Several players and front office members will be models in the first ever "Noche De Estrellas" fundraising fashion show, hosted by Stein Mart. The event will take place at 6:30pm at the Laredo Civic Center Auditorium. Proceeds from the show will go to the Dignity U. Wear Foundation, a non-profit organization providing brand new clothing to those in need. There is a $20 donation to attend the event, call Maria Guajardo at 956-712-9151 for tickets.
Hitting the runway and modeling for the Bucks will be Head Coach and General Manager Terry Ruskowski, Jeff Bes, Serge Dube, Igor Agarunov, and Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Bryan Benway.
Joining the Bucks as models in the show will be Laredo Mayor Raul Salinas, plus other local celebrities and city leaders. The models will strut their stuff on the runway and showcase Stein Marts latest fall fashions during the show.

WHERE WE'VE BEEN (July 21-July 25):
Wednesday, July 23rd: Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks attended The Laredo Rotary Club meeting, at the Holiday Inn.
Thursday, July 24th- Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks attended the International Intelligence Security Service Ribbon Cutting.
Friday, July 25th- Director of Corporate Sponsorships
Donald Thomson emceed the Hunting & Fishing Show Ribbon Cutting at the LEC, with many of the Bucks and LEC staff attending the event as well.

Monday, July 28th: Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks and Group Sales Executive JR Rathbun will attend the Gateway Rotary, at Embassy Suites, at 12pm.
Wednesday, July 23rd: Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson will attend The Laredo Rotary Club meeting, at the Holiday Inn, at 12pm.
Thursday, July 31st: Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks and Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson will attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for International Intelligence Security Service, 2603 Arkansas Ste. 2, at 12pm.
Thursday, July 31st: Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks and Group Sales Executive JR Rathbun will be volunteering for Operation Lone Star 2008, at United South High School, at 2pm.
Thursday, July 31st: Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson, along with the ticket department (Rory Brady, Keith Moore, Arturo Ortega, and JR Rathbun) will attend the Laredo Chamber of Commerce Mixer at the
Laredo Country Club, at 6pm
Friday, August 1st: Director of Corporate Sponsorships Donald Thomson and Director of Public Relations Nicole Kupaks will attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for My Lil' Big School, at 7215 McPherson, at 5:00pm.

Since 2001 the Laredo Bucks take pride that they have been heavily involved in the Laredo community. The Bucks front office, coaching staff, players and Bucky have appeared at over 250 events in 2008, and look forward to many more.

*Open House August 23rd At LEC*
The Bucks will hold their annual Open House will be held on Saturday August 23rd, from 11am-4pm at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The event is free and open to the public.
This is your first chance to meet a few of this season's Bucks players, as some of them will be on hand signing autographs, as will Bucks head coach and general manager Terry Ruskowski. There will be behind the scene tours of the Bucks new bus, locker room, and the rest of the LEC. There will also be prizes, giveaways, free hot dogs and hamburgers, face painting for the kids and much more!
*Bucks Season Ticket Referral Program*
For every new season ticket that is purchased from a referral, the current season ticket holder that referred them will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to the Bucks team store. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of referrals that an existing season ticket holder can make.
For example, if a current season ticket holder refers a person who buys four new seats for the 2008-09 season, they will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Bucks team store.
