Bucks Announce In-Game Entertainment Addition and Broadcasting Change

October 4, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Laredo Bucks News Release

LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, announced Wednesday they will have an In-Game Host for all home games and they will not have a broadcast for their 2011-2012 Season.

The Laredo Bucks are proud to announce Bryan Benway as their new In-Game Host for the 2011-2012 season. After spending the last four seasons as the voice of the Laredo Bucks, Benway will add his own personal touch and hockey expertise to each home game.

"I am very happy to be able to stay with the Bucks organization in this capacity. As much as I wanted to stay on as broadcaster I am very excited to be the first-ever in-game host. I've been with them for four years and I look forward to helping the Bucks move into the next phase of the franchise as the in-game host. We have a lot of fun and entertaining things planned with my new position this season and I know Bucks fans will be happy with what we came up with," says Bryan Benway

The Laredo Bucks have been broadcasting on the radio for the past nine seasons, but due to conflicts in scheduling this will not continue for the 2011-2012 season. However, Bucks fans will not miss a minute of the action because they still have the option to listen to all of the games via the opposing team broadcasts on the internet or by watching CHL TV.

The Laredo Bucks will provide the links for the free broadcasts prior to each road game. The links will be posted at www.laredobucks.com, on the Bucks Facebook page, as well as be attached to the press releases prior to each game. If fans would like to watch the road games, the games can be purchased at CHL TV through the Laredo Bucks website or the Central Hockey League website.

"We have always strived to be a first class organization in everything we do. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a solution that would live up to the standards of our fans and to the organization as a whole," states General Manager Nicole Kupaks.

The Laredo Bucks will continue to look for opportunities to host their broadcasts in the future.
