Bucks Add Dejardins

LAREDO, Texas- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey league have announced the signing of Center Andrew Dejardins, for the upcoming 2007-08 season.
Dejardins, from Lively, Ontario, played for the Sault Saint. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL for the past four seasons.
"Andrew is very, very physical, he likes to hit hard", said Bucks head coach/GM Terry Ruskowski, "I like to have physical players here".
Last season Dejardins played in 65 games, scoring 16 goals, with 26 assists, for 42 points. He also accumulated 96 penalty minutes during the campaign. In his four-year career with the Greyhounds, Dejardins played in 254 games, scoring 48 goals, with 65 assists, for 113 points, along with 264 penalty minutes.
"Andrew is a solid two-way player, and performs well on the penalty kill", Ruskowski said, "He will fit in well here".
Last season Dejardins was awarded the Sault Star Trophy, presented annually at the Greyhounds end-of-the-year banquet, to the team's unsung hero for the season.
The Bucks, who open training camp October 8th, have announced four player signings this off-season, Dejardins, along with forwards Matt Summers and Corey Courchene, and defenseman Tyler Harder. Laredo will begin their sixth season in the CHL on the road October 19th, with the home opener scheduled for Friday October 26th.
