Hamilton Nationals News Release

(Hamilton, August 5)... The Hamilton Nationals will have a special guest Saturday night as the Hamilton Bulldogs' mascot Bruiser will entertain fans at Ron Joyce Stadium. Bruiser will support Hamilton's pro lacrosse team as they embark on a first-place showdown with the Boston Cannons. The game is a 7:00 p.m. start.

The Bulldogs' mascot will greet and entertain fans, and perform a ceremonial first shot on Nationals' goalie Brett Queener. Fans can stop by the Bulldogs table in the main concourse to pick up information about tickets for the 2011-12 American Hockey League season.

The game is a battle for first place as the top-rated Boston Cannons (7-3) travel to play the second-place Nationals (6-4). The Nationals can move into first place and clinch a playoff berth with a win against Boston. Hamilton is one of the hottest teams in Major League Lacrosse, having won five of its last six games.

The Nationals are offering a $5.00 savings on all tickets for the team's regular season home finale on Saturday. Tickets are now $20 in the premium section, $15 in the club level and $10 in the general admission area. To order, contact the Nationals Ticket Office at (905) 768-2225.

Drafted by the Bulldogs as a puppy in the summer months of 1996, Bruiser is the longest-serving member of the Hamilton Bulldogs. Now serving in his 15thseason, it is easy to see why this AHL All-Star veteran has MVP (most valuable Pup) written all over him. Bruiser really enjoys supporting events such as walk-a-thons, minor hockey events, school fundraisers and other charity events. On average Bruiser attends over 300 community events and public appearances annually.
