
Brandon McBride Named OHL Player of the Week

Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Oshawa Generals right winger Brandon McBride is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday February 1 after scoring five goals and two assists for seven points in three games.
McBride scored in Oshawa's 5-4 overtime win over the Erie Otters on January 30. He had three goals, including the game-winner, and two assists in a 6-4 win over the Belleville Bulls on January 31 and finished the week with Oshawa's only goal in a 2-1 loss to the Kitchener Rangers on February 1.
The 19-year-old Whitby native leads the Generals with 22 goals and 40 points in 45 games this season. He was a ninth round pick of the Kingston Frontenacs in 2000.
