HERSHEY - The 2010 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today that the club has agreed to terms with left wing Boyd Kane and defenseman Dylan Yeo for the upcoming 2010-11 season. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Kane, 32, will skate for a second consecutive season in the Chocolate and White after scoring a career-high 24 goals in 2009-10. He wore the captain's "C" for HERSHEY during the 2005-06 season in his first tour of duty in Chocolatetown, helping lead the BEARS to a Calder Cup title that year. Kane also captained the 2005 Calder Cup Champion Philadelphia Phantoms, making him only the second player in AHL history to captain two different Calder Cup winners in consecutive seasons.

Playing in 21 postseason games this past spring, Kane helped HERSHEY win its 11th Calder Cup title, his third of his career. His overtime game-winning goal in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals against Manchester propelled the BEARS to the Calder Cup Finals.

Yeo, 24, played in four games for HERSHEY last season, notching one assist. He also recorded 30 points in 49 games for South Carolina (ECHL), including 14 goals.

The BEARS will begin play in October, looking to win a third straight Calder Cup championship. The full American Hockey League schedule is expected to be released in August.
