Boston Cannons News Release

QUINCY, MA - The Boston Cannons are hosting a trophy viewing party at our home stadium on Thursday, August 27 as a celebration of our 2020 MLL Championship win. The event will take place at Veterans Memorial Stadium from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Cannons fans and Quincy residents are invited to visit our stadium, where they can take photos with our 2020 MLL Championship trophy. Boston Cannons Head Coach and Major League Lacrosse Coach of the Year Sean Quirk will be in attendance, as well as members of the Boston Cannons dance team.

"We're excited to kick off our 2020 Championship celebration with our fans at home in Quincy," said Mark Drago, the Cannons' Vice President of Operations. "Being able to include our fans at home in our celebrations means a lot to our team, especially given that they were not able to witness our 2020 season in person."

The Boston Cannons have developed a comprehensive protocol surrounding the Steinfeld Trophy. Attendees are not permitted to touch the trophy and must wear a mask at all times at the event. Viewers will be required to sanitize their hands prior to approaching the trophy.

Event attendance is limited to 50 persons inside the venue at a time due to COVID-19.

Boston Cannons 2020 Championship merchandise will be available for purchase at the event. Due to the pandemic, buyers will not be permitted to try on merchandise.

Full event protocols can be found on the Boston Cannons website at bostoncannons.com/trophy.
