
Boston Cannons Set 2013 Training Camp Schedule

BOSTON, MA - April 2, 2013 - The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, will begin training camp for the 2013 season this Saturday, April 6 with practice at their home field at Harvard Stadium. Training camp includes three weekends prior to the season opener on April 28 in New York. At the conclusion of the three weekends, the Cannons will cut the roster from 40 players to 25 active and six practice squad players.
Training camp is highlighted by a charity event the Cannons are co-hosting with team sponsor Gentle Giant. The Gentle Giant Challenge Charity Run on Saturday, April 20 will see teams of five relay-racing on the Gentle Giant Challenge mobile steps. With each team contributing a $100 entry fee, half of the proceeds will go to the America Lung Association and the other half going to the winning team's non-profit of choice. Teams will include Cannons players, Boston fire fighters, youth lacrosse coaches and other community members. More information is available at BostonCannons.com.
