Boston Cannons announce 2008 local TV schedule

BOSTON, MA - Monday, May 12, 2008 - The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) have released their 12-game local television schedule for the 2008 season, Cannons Vice President and General Manager Mark Kastrud announced today. The schedule marks the first time in Cannons history that all 12 games will be televised in the New England area, and 11 of the 12 games will be aired live.
"This is the first season that all Cannons games - both home and away - will be broadcast in the Boston market," said Kastrud. "Having all of our games on TV, and all but one broadcast live, is something we are proud to provide to our fans. Cannons fans will now be able to follow the team, home and away, through live broadcasts on Comcast SportsNet, CN8 and ESPN2."
Three networks - Comcast SportsNet New England, CN8 and ESPN2 - will combine to televise all 12 Cannons games this season. In addition, Cannons games will air in the Providence area on Cox Sports and ESPN2.
Cannons television play-by-play announcer Jason Chandler and color commentator Jack Piatelli will return to broadcast the Cannons' games this season.

The Cannons will open the 2008 season at their home field of Harvard Stadium versus the New Jersey Pride on Saturday, May 17 at 7:00 PM.
