Dubois County Bombers News Release

The Dubois County Bombers of the Prospect League (www.prospectleague.com) have named Ryan Anderson as their Field Manager for the 2012 season. Anderson currently serves as the Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Vincennes University and has spent the past two summers coaching in the Coastal Plains league, a Carolina/Virginia based wood bat league similar to the Prospect League.

A native of Alexandria, KY, Anderson played four years at Bishop Brossart High School. In 2005, his senior year, he was chosen to the state of Kentucky All Star team and named the Pitcher of the year by the Kentucky Post. He started his collegiate playing career in 2006 at Vincennes University and was named team co-captain for the 2007 season. In 2008 he moved on to Georgetown College (KY) where he was twice named the Mid South Conference pitcher of the week.

After graduation, Anderson started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Georgetown College in 2009. He moved on to Vincennes University in 2010. Anderson spent the last two summers in the Coastal Plain league as the Pitching Coach of the Florence Red Wolves in 2010 and the Morehead City Marlins in 2011.

Said Bomber Owner John Bigness, "We knew that last season's manager, Grant Bellak, would not be available for 2012 and Ryan came highly recommended by my partner Chris Barney. Our research shows he's had a positive impact at all the places he's coached. He's very well prepared and has been extremely active in player recruitment over the past 6 weeks. I expect we'll get out of the gate quickly this summer and our fans will be excited about our team."

Season tickets for the 2012 Bombers season are on sale now thru January 31st. Orders taken by January 31st are $109 for General Admission, $128 for Orange Seats and $144 for Red Seats.
