London Lightning News Release

(LONDON, ON) - London's perfect start is still intact as the visiting, and formerly undefeated, Syracuse Stallions tried to play spoiler Saturday night. The Lightning overcame a sloppy and poor shooting night to pick up their 9th straight victory, 109-95.

London started the game much the same way they have throughout the season: sluggish, cold from beyond the arc, and lacking urgency. Despite the slow start, London would take an early lead and hold on through the entirety of the game.

With a narrow five-point lead at half-time, London would tighten up their rotations while locking up defensively, holding yet another team to less than 100 points. Despite shooting an ice cold 5 -25 from beyond the arc and jus 20-33 from the charity stripe, the Bolts were able to pull away late and get the 14 point victory.

Cameron Forte added another double-double to his season total with a team-high 21 points and 11 rebounds. Player of the Game went to Jaylon Tate who posted 20 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists while Chris Jones (17 points), Jermaine Haley Jr. (15 points), Mareik Isom (15 points) and Jordan Jensen-Whyte (11 points) all scored in double digits for the Bolts.

The visiting Stallions were led by point guard Christian Nobles' game-high 32 points. Kobi Nwandu and Jordan Robertson added 20 and 23 points respectively.

The Lightning's next home game is slated for Thursday, March 24th. The team will take on the visiting Sudbury Five.
