London Lightning News Release

(LONDON, ON) The London Lightning picked up their third straight win Thursday night defeating the KW Titans 113-99. The Bolts remain undefeated in the Budweiser Gardens for the 2019-20 National Basketball League of Canada season and now sit a perfect 8-0 at home.

The Bolts started the game hot, going up by as many as 10 points before being outscored by the Titans in the firdt quarter. The second would be a much better quarter forn the Bolts as they outscored the Titans and went into the halftime break with a 59-48 lead. London's strong first half play would be quickly undone in the third quarter as KW would cut into the Lightning lead. The fourth quarter was highly emotional as several intentional fouls and officiating would frustrate both teams. London would outscore the Titans 36-24 in the final frame and pull out the victory.

Second year forward, Anthony Gaines Jr, earned Player of the Game honours for his performance tonight. The 6'4 wing scored 10 of the Lightning's first 12 points and ended the game with 31 on the night while also hitting on 7 of his 13 three point attempts. Xavier Moon was huge in this game as well, scoring 28 points of his own. Sixth man Omar Strong had 15 off the bench while both Mo Bolden and Marcus Capers both scored 13 points on the evening.

The Lightning's five-game homestand continues this Sunday as the Halifax Hurricanes make their only regular-season trip to the Budweiser Gardens. For tickets to the next home game make sure to visit the Budweiser Gardens Box Office or go to www.lightningbasketball.ca.
