Bolts Pick Up Revenge Win

(LONDON, ON) Just two nights after suffering their third loss of the season at the hands of the KW Titans, the Lightning returned home to face the Titans again and earned a 104- 91. First quarter performance has been an issue for the Lightning this season and tonight was no different. The Bolts were outscored 29-20 in the first and would go down by as many as 19 points early in the second quarter before mounting a comeback and heading into the final quarter, tied 73-73.

The Lightning would come alive in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Titans 31-18 and winning by 13 points. The team's shooting from the free throw line continued to show improvement as they shot 28- 35 for 80%. Another factor in the Lightning win was London's tremendous effort on the boards, out rebounding the Titans 57-38 over the course of the game. It was also another impressive scoring night from the Lightning bench as the reserves scored a combined for 52 points, good for half of the Lightning's total.

Player of the game honours went to Mo Bolden for his impressive all around game, scoring 23 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists on the night. Veteran guard, Omar Strong, led the Bolts with a game-high 25 points, including six three-pointers. Xavier Moon was the third Lightning player to score 20 or more points on the night with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The scoring was rounded out by Mareik Isom's 14 off the bench.

The Lightning hit the road tomorrow to take on the Windsor Express at 2PM in the WFCU Centre and will return home to the Budweiser Gardens next Thursday, February 6th for another matchup with the KW Titans.
