Bobby Sippio Named AFL's Week 20 National Guard MVP

ORLANDO - Orlando Predators wide receiver Bobby Sippio (6'3, 215 Western Kentucky) was named AFL National Guard MVP of the Week, as voted on by fans, for his performance in Week 20 against the New Orleans VooDoo.

Sippio received nearly 70 percent of the fans' votes on Facebook.com after hauling in 14 receptions for 166 yards and four touchdowns in last week's 62-44 win. Sippio closed the regular season by leading the Predators with 33 touchdown receptions, tying a team single-season record. He has also accumulated 112 receptions and 1,384 receiving yards on the season.

The Predators (11-7) face the Jacksonville Sharks (14-4) in the first round of the 2011 playoffs on Friday, July 29 at 8 p.m. ET on NFL.com and 740 AM The Game.

Other candidates for the award included Utah quarterback Todd Hammel and Georgia quarterback Darnell Kennedy.

It's the 13th time this season an Orlando Predators player has earned a weekly award.
