
Bobby Orr forced to Cancel his visit to Lewiston

Lewiston, ME â The Lewiston MAINEiacs received a call from Bobby Orr at 10:15 am on Wednesday morning informing the team that he would be unable to attend the game on Thursday, January 29th as previously scheduled.
Mr. Orr stated the reason that he was forced to cancel his trip was as result of an injury suffered by one of his clients last night. Mr. Orr, the owner of the Orr Hockey Group, had planned on visiting Lewiston with this client and his family. He received a call late last night from the family informing him that his client had suffered a concussion in a game last night â and would be unable to make the trip to Lewiston.
Mr. Orr was very apologetic but mentioned due to this unforeseen injury, he schedule was forced to change. He stated that he made every effort not to have to cancel his trip, but his schedule simply could not be adjusted.
The Lewiston MAINEiacs are making arrangements for individuals who purchased tickets based on the premise the Mr. Orr would be in attendance. These individuals can report to the Central Maine Civic Center Box Office and exchange their tickets for a future game is they so desire.
The Lewiston MAINEiacs are appreciative of Mr. Orr's willingness to visit Lewiston and understand that the change in schedule was a result of something completely out of everyone's control.
"The Lewiston MAINEiacs were hoping to add something special to our game on Thursday by having Bobby Orr as our special guest. We are disappointed for our fans that were hoping to see him, however we understand that the schedule change was a result of something completely out of Mr. Orr's control," mentioned Matt McKnight, Vice President & Governor of the MAINEiacs.
"Mr. Orr is outstanding individual who made a point to mention to me that we could call on him in future if there was every anything he could do for our organization," stated McKnight.
