Bluefins Announce Inaugural Home Game

Cortland, NY - The New York Bluefins, proud members of the Federal Hockey League are pleased to announce they will play their Inaugural Home Game at the JM McDonald Sports Complex on Friday January 18th at 7:35 PM against the Dayton Demonz. The Federal Hockey League is a Single "A" league who promotes players to the CHL and ECHL. Last season over 120 players were called up. The Bluefins will be signing a local player who formerly played for the Junior Crunch before going on to play four seasons in the NAHL. Christian Beaudry is scheduled to sign his first Pro Contract next week. Christian was a fan favorite back in his Crunch days. We expect to see many of Christian's former teammates, friends and family at the game. Christian is presently the bar manager at Hairy Tony's in Cortland.

The Federal Hockey League and the NY Bluefins provide family entertainment at a reasonable price. Tickets for Adults are just $10, Student Tickets are just $6 and children under 5 are FREE. The Bluefins have special deals on group tickets. For more info on group tickets call Dave at 315-487-8554. Tickets will be available at the McDonald Sports Complex starting on Monday January 14th at 3 PM. Tickets will also be available thru any Bluefins player and at the door the night of the game. The Bluefins players will be at the McDonald Complex every night next week. Don't be shutout for this once in a lifetime chance to see Pro Hockey in Cortland.
