
BlueCats Make Staff Announcement

EVANSVILLE, IN: The Evansville BlueCats of the United Indoor Football League are excited to announce that members of the front office staff will assume new duties effective immediately as the team begins to prepare for the 2006 indoor football season.
Don Hess, formerly the Director of Operations, will assume the role of General Manager. Don was born and raised in Evansville and retired as a teacher at Bosse High School in Evansville, IN after 32 years in the classroom. While at Bosse, he worked as a mathematics teacher and Chairman of the Mathematics Department. He also served as the Director of Athletics for his last 15 years at the school. He went on to work as a Sales Representative for Gus Doerner Sports until 2002. Don also serves on the Board of Directors for Evansville Youth Baseball, the Roberts Stadium Foundation, and the University of Evansville PAC (Purple Aces Club). He is a 1963 graduate of the University of Evansville and earned his masters degree in 1965. Don and his wife Marilynn reside in Evansville, they have four children and eight grandchildren.
Rob Rexing, formerly the Director of Game Day Operations, will assume the role of Director of Operations. Rob is originally from Haubstadt, IN, and graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 1999, earning an honors diploma and receiving Academic All-State honors from the Indiana Football Coaches Association in 1998. Rob went on to study Telecommunications and Business at Indiana University, graduating in the spring of 2003. While at IU, Rob earned Founder's Day Award honors twice, made the Dean's List, and was active in student radio and intramural sports. During his time as a Hoosier, Rob worked for AM 1570 WIUS as a DJ and sports broadcaster. He held the number one rated radio show with his cohost, Todd Usher, during his senior year. Rob was a game day volunteer for the BlueCats during the 2004 season and brings other experience from positions held in the media, service, fragrance, and high finance industries.
Evansville BlueCats President John Voliva said, "The Voliva family feels that this front office is the best off-the-field team the BlueCats have put together. With the strong personal ties each person has to the Tri-State area, we know that this front office will want to see the BlueCats succeed in the same way we do."
