Bluecats announce open tryout

EVANSVILLE, IN: The Evansville BlueCats, a member of the United Indoor Football League, are pleased to announce open player tryouts for the 2006 indoor football season. There are two tryout sessions scheduled for potential players to choose from. Tryouts will take place Sunday, December 18th from 9am-Noon, and another session will be held on Monday December 19th from 2-5pm. You must be at least 19 years old to try out.

Both tryouts will be held at the Metro Sports Center located off Virginia Avenue behind Nagasaki Grill on Evansville's east side. The address is 5820 Metro Center Drive.

The Tryout fee is $40 and can be paid by cash or money order. Players wanting to pay with a debit or credit card MUST pre-register and pay the $40 fee prior to the tryout date at the BlueCats office located at 815 John Street Suite 150 near downtown Evansville. The BlueCats office is open weekdays from 9am-5pm.

On Sunday, December 18th, registration begins at 9am. Starting at 10am all participants will be tested in the 10-yard dash, 40-yard dash, pro shuttle, vertical jump, position specific evaluations and will be weighed and measured.

On Monday, December 19th, registration begins at 2pm with the drills and evaluations starting at 3pm.

Player's need to bring turf or tennis shoes, as well as workout clothes (shorts, t-shirts, etc).

Any players who have video of themselves are encouraged to bring it to the office before tryouts or bring it with them to they tryout.
