May 22, 2015 - New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL)
Valley Blue Sox News Release

This summer may be the best yet at Mackenzie Stadium, with three months full of summer fun for all ages. Aside from seeing some of the best baseball action in Western Massachusetts, the Valley Blue Sox will be holding several events at the stadium on game days.

May the force be with you on Star Wars Night Presented by Berkshire Heating & Air Conditioning, Saturday, June 13, when the first 250 children in the gates will receive their very own lightsaber! Be on the lookout for your favorite Star Wars characters hanging around the stadium as well.

Among other events taking place this summer, there will be three post-game Friday Night Fireworks at the stadium! Following the Blue Sox games on June 21, June 26, and July 31, the whole family can finish off an action-packed night at the ballpark with a display of beautiful and exciting fireworks. Friday Night Fireworks are brought to you by Elms College, 94.7 WMAS and TD Bank.

At the Valley Blue Sox, we are dedicated to showing our support and appreciation for the members of our United States military. Every Sunday will be Military Appreciation Night, presented by Yankee Candle. On Sunday, July 26, the last of the season's Military Appreciation Nights, the Blue Sox will wear their military camo jerseys for the final time, and they will be auctioned off following the game. All proceeds from the auction will go towards the Purple Heart Foundation. Military members, don't forget to bring your valid military ID to all Blue Sox home games to receive $4 admission!

Saturday, June 27 is another night to mark on your Blue Sox schedules. Thanks to The Republican and Masslive.com, all fans will have the opportunity to meet the mascot of the Boston Red Sox, Wally the Green Monster! Be sure to catch Wally greeting fans around the ballpark.

Finally, because of our dedicated Blue Sox fans, the Valley Blue Sox will be wrapping up the season on Saturday, August 1 with Fan Appreciation Night and a chance for all fans to meet the mascot of the New England Patriots, Pat the Patriot. Special giveaways and prizes will be awarded all night long, so be sure not to miss the final game of the regular season!

These events are just a few of the exciting things happening at Mackenzie Stadium this summer, so make sure you check out your Blue Sox schedules for more ballpark fun!
