Valley Blue Sox News Release
It will be Miller night sponsored by the Holyoke Public Library at MacKenzie Stadium on July 26th when the Blue Sox take on the Danbury Westerners at 6:30 p.m.
Holyoke will blast to the past, as the players will wear the old Holyoke Millers uniforms from the 1980s.
"Come be a member of the past," Barry Wadsworth, COO said about the special night. "But at the same time come see the future stars of Major League Baseball."
There will be giveaways including t-shirts, caps and there will be a three-year lease on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra raffled off from Gary Rome Hyundai.
Second prize will be a ski giveaway for four people provided by Clear Channel Communications.
Money raised from the raffles will go towards a 14.5 million dollar renovation of the library.
It will only cost $3 to get into the gate, the same price for general admission back in 1982 to get into a Millers game.
Along with throwback night it will be fan appreciation night, which a tradition starting this season.
Some of the ex-owners of the Millers will be in town as well for the game and there will be trivia throughout the night for the fans to have the best experience.
"It will just be a lot of fun," Wadsworth said.
