
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma to Present Health and Wellness Night

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa Shock have partnered with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma to present Health and Wellness night on July 31. The concourse and elements during the game will be centered around fitness and well-being. Blaze the Braggin' Blue Dragon and Volt the Fox will be on hand for the festivities and the first 1,500 fans through the door will receive a Blaze and Volt growth poster.
"Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma is proud to sponsor Health and Wellness night with the Tulsa Shock," said Ted Haynes, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma President. "As a company we believe it's important to focus on health and wellness in our state and this is a fun and exciting way to continue to share that message with our community."
The Oklahoma Caring Van will be parked at the intersection of 3rd Street and Denver Avenue at the game from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. offering immunizations to eligible children up to 18 years old and BMI screenings for children from ages 2 to 18 at no charge. A limited number of complimentary tickets to the game are available to families who participate in the caring van clinic.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma will have a concourse table where they will be giving away a poster autographed by the entire Tulsa Shock team. Be Covered Oklahoma, a grassroots campaign educating Oklahomans on the new health insurance options available under the Affordable Care Act, will also have a concourse table at the game.
