Alexandria Blue Anchors News Release
Alexandria,Minn - The Alexandria Blue Anchors along with Sanford Health have launched a fitness challenge within District 206 and the surrounding communities. The program is designed to help keep our youth active.
The challenge will run for four weeks with each student working towards a physical activity goal of 300 minutes per week. Activities can range from walking the dog, playing outside, or having an organized practice. The main thing is to have fun while being active. Students who complete the program will earn a free ticket to a selected Blue Anchors game this summer.
The top 3 participants from each school will also win the following: The grand prize winner will receive batting practice with the Anchors and the chance to throw out the first pitch, the first prize winner will win individualized hitting or pitching lessons with the Anchor staff, and the second prize winner will win a Blue Anchors hat and shirt package.
"I would first like to thank Sanford Health for their continued support of Anchors baseball and helping make this program a reality," said GM Kendall Hughson. "We are privileged to be able to use our organization to help keep our youth on track to live strong, healthy, and actives lives."
