
Blizzard Drop a Pair this Weekend

The Brookings Blizzard lost their final two exhibition games over the weekend as they prepare for the regular season opener on Wednesday.
On Friday night the Blizzard lost3-2 in a tightgame against theAberdeen Wings at the Larson Ice Center. Trailing 1-0 early, Blizzard forward Jonathan Nitchen banked a shot off a Wing defender to tie the game. Andreas Bender gave the Blizzard a 2-1 lead moments later on blast from the point.
Aberdeen came back with two late goals to seal the victory. The Blizzard were outshot 56-31 in the game, and 32-7 in the final 30 minutes of the game.
In their final exhibition game of the preseason, the Blizzard traveled to Grand Forks, ND to take on the Minot Minotauros. The Blizzard lost the contest 3-1.
The Blizzard will start the regular season on Wednesday against the Michigan Warriors at the NAHL Showcase in Blain, MN. The game will start at 4:30pm and can be season on Fasthockey.com.
