Blaze Trade for Dylan Donahue of the Charlotte Hounds

Kennesaw-The Atlanta Blaze announced a trade deal today that will bring back one of the best attack trios in college lacrosse history. The Blaze traded for attack Dylan Donahue of the Charlotte Hounds in return for midfielder Deemer Class and attack Wells Stanwick. The Blaze also traded their 1st round pick of the 2017 Collegiate Draft to the Charlotte Hounds in exchange for the Hounds' 1st round pick.
Dylan Donahue will round out an already impressive Blaze attack group in Kevin Rice and Randy Staats for the 2017 season. In Donahue's first season in the MLL, he tallied 11 total points over 8 games and also totes an impressive resume from his time at his alma mater Syracuse-where he boasted such honors as a Tewaaraton Award Nominee, First Team All-American and entered his 2016 senior campaign with the second-longest active goal-scoring streak in the nation. This will also not be the first time that Donahue suits up alongside Kevin Rice and Randy Staats. All three men played together at Syracuse and were a highly feared offensive unit in the collegiate setting.
Spencer Ford said of the trade, "Dylan Donahue is a phenomenal talent and we are very excited to reunite him with his old teammates from Syracuse. He will provide great depth to an already solid attack unit. He plays with high IQ and has a great skill set. He can score in bunches and if need be, he can feed as well. The Atlanta Blaze just got truly better today and Coach Huntley and myself are excited to get started."
Ford also praised Class for his time with the Blaze in 2016 stating, "I would like to thank Deemer for his efforts in our inaugural season. Although the wins were not there, he was a valuable part of what was considered to be a very strong offensive group. We wish him luck with the Hounds and hope the best for him and his MLL career."
