Kennesaw-Adam Ghitelman signed a contract with the Atlanta Blaze that will keep the goalie in Atlanta for the next two seasons.

Ghitelman was the team captain and Blaze starting goalie for the majority of the Blaze's inaugural season and appeared in all of the 14 Blaze games in 2016. Ghitelman is a strong defensive force for the Blaze and in his six years in the league, he has saved a total of 722 goals and accumulated a save percentage of .519.

Ghitelman spoke of the contract extension, stating, "The key for this organization is to have a sustained core in order to develop chemistry and an all-in attitude. I believe in integrity and finishing what you start. We are going to build a championship caliber team."

General Manager Spencer Ford spoke on Ghitelman's contract extension, noting, "We are very excited to know that Adam will be with us for the next couple of seasons. One thing is for sure; he is made of the right stuff, has a chip on his shoulder and is consistently pushing himself to be better. He is a fantastic teammate and an even better person. We look forward to having him in a Blaze uniform in the coming seasons."
