Blaze Looking North To Ignite Roster

Rolling Meadows, Illinois - The Chicago Blaze have headed north to find talent to round out their 2009 - 2010 roster and believe they've found it. The Blaze are pleased to announce that three Canadians have signed training camp agreements and will attend the Blaze training camp the week of October 12th.

Forwards, Kyle Thompson and Pat Doyle along with defenseman Devin Chaput will join the other Blaze hopefuls at West Meadows Arena on Monday October 12th as the Blaze pre season practices get underway.

Kyle Thompson, 5'10"195, is from Surrey, British Columbia and played his college hockey for Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. Prior to that the 24 year old Thompson played junior hockey in his home province for the Osoyoos Storm where he was League MVP and Top Scorer during the 2006 - 2007 season.

Pat Doyle, 5'11" 200, is from Smith Falls, Ontario and currently living on Wolfe Island, Ontario, played for three seasons in the Ontario University Hockey League in the CIS for Queens University. The 22 year old is a right handed shooting forward.

Devin Chaput, 25,comes from Westmeath, Ontario in the Ottawa Valley. The 6'1", 205, left hand shooting defenseman played his junior hockey for the Renfrew Timberwolves. Devin attended the Blaze free agent camp at the end of August and was offered a training camp spot as his exceptional play and size made an impression on Blaze coach Steve Pronger.

Pat, Kyle and Devin will be available for fans to meet as training camp gets underway on October 12th.
